Enhancing sustainable forest management
Facilitation of boundary mapping exercise for Kopa village forest reserve for Gombe village in Ulanga district during establishment of community-based forest management. To accomplish the main objective of Sustainable Forest Management and Renewable Energy through an inclusive community empowerment project that is funded by the European Union and co-implemented by MJUMITA, HELVETAS, and CODERT in four districts of the Morogoro region (Morogoro, Mvomero, Malinyi, and Ulanga). The aim is to promote sustainable forest management and wood fuel production and improve the livelihoods of rural women and men through sustainable wood fuel value chain with more efficient energy supply and increased income-generation opportunities whilst reducing deforestation and mitigating adverse effects of climate change.
