Call for consultancy : Development of MJUMITA Social and Environmental Safeguards (MESS)

The main objective is to develop a comprehensive Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF) tailored to MJUMITA’s programs, aligned with national laws, donor requirements and international best practices.

The framework will guide MJUMITA’s community-led conservation projects across Tanzania, ensuring sustainability, equity, and compliance with national and international standards.

Specific objectives:

• Assess MJUMITA’s operational context and potential environmental and social risks.
• Develop a safeguards framework with policies, principles, procedures, and tools.
• Integrate Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and stakeholder engagement considerations.
• Build capacity of MJUMITA staff on the use of the ESSF.
