MJUMITA supports members to demand transparency, accountability and participation in fulfilling their roles in Participatory Forest Management (PFM). Through the forest governance monitoring “dashboard” tool developed, MJUMITA facilitates members to conduct self-governance assessment in over 400 villages participating in PFM.
In enhancing transparency, accountability and participation, MJUMITA provides governance coaching to communities earning revenues from forest resources through “MJUMITA Revenue Sharing Model” which was developed to facilitate revenue sharing within communities.
